Every footstep we make, whether on a beautiful beach, a mountain trail, or upon freshly fallen snow, is only a temporary indent in the river of time and space. Each step we take, however, is part of our life-long journey in this world . Each step in part defines who we are, our character, our individual natures. Our dharma. And our dharma, although unseen, in turn helps to define the cosmos in which we live. This blog is about making each of the steps we take as meaningful and relevant as we can make them, cognizant of the absoluteness of the universe within which we exist, with acknowledgement of the sacredness and preciousness of the present moment.

My intent is to humbly share, not be overbearing, and most certainly not preach. This is a theme-based blog, not a simple collage of personal experiences with friends and family such as you might better find on Facebook. One recurring theme you'll find is my meditation over the immense power water has on me to refresh my soul, cleanse my troubled thoughts, and reset my perception of self to a more positive orientation.
It seems that flowing water, such as this simple meditation fountain, or more profoundly in creeks and rivers, or ocean surf at the beach, speaks deeply within all of us. Water, wherever we find it, seems to have a spiritual quality inherent in its nature. Larger bodies of water seem to be charged with spiritual energy themselves. If you've spent significant time on the Atlantic Ocean as I have, you might agree with me that this spiritual energy is elevated to the level of a demi-god, it is so powerful. There is a rather profound truth to explore here. I guarantee no answers. Just hopefully very good questions.
